field notes — the record of work done in the field.

In the engineering world we’re taught to take accurate, complete and legible notes with the utmost clarity when working in the field in order to relay important data. Engineering field notes consist of lengths, angles, areas, sketches, descriptions and other data. But here in my creative field notes I’ll be taking a much less structured approach — fitting to my much less structured ex-engineering life. In a way my creative field notes will have a similar purpose — to recount findings from the field of my life.
